Well israel already won some wars in middle east ... maybe thats why they feel threatened ! and israel military service can raport 700 000 men and women in half hour i think. Also israel military is very disciplined and they are much much more prepared than any other country in the world
I could write a book about that question. It isn't easy to answer in a few sentences. But I wil just say this: I think the problem the Arab world has with Israel goes back primarily to the date of its creation by the UN, which I believe was in 1948, shortly after the end of the world war. Despite the fact that this land once belonged to the Jews, it had since the ancient times become the home of the Palestinian people. Suddenly, the UN/League of Nations decides to create a separate Jewish/Arab state, and split the land between the Jews and the Palestinians. Well, as you can imagine, this pissed the Palestinians off, and there has been war ever since. Let me give you a better exampled debunk. Lets say hypothetically that the UN one day gets control over the US. It decides that it wants to split the country into to states, one for the Native American people who originally settled this land and the non native Americans. You can see how this could lead to an ongoing civil war, right? Well, this is exactly what has happened in the middle east. Divide and conquer. It is the oldest trick in the book and it is exactly what the UN did to the middle east. Put ethnic groups together who are hostile to each other because you know they are going to fight and kill each other. Iran sees Israel as being a tool of the UN, and that is the reason I think they have an issue with them.

I'm just going by what was put in Wikipedia: "The Declaration of the Establishment of the State of Israel, May 14, 1948, was the official announcement that a new Jewish state, newly-named as the State of Israel (Medinat Yisrael in Hebrew), had been formally established in the British Mandate of Palestine, the land where the Kingdom of Israel and the Kingdom of Judah had once been." The land did belong to the Jewish people in antiquity. But people lose and gain land all the time, just like any other physical object. I personally believe in the "balance of power theory" when it comes to nuclear weapons. Basically, the genie is out of the bottle. The technology exists, and as long as the "knowlege" exists on how to build a nuke, sooner or later every country is going to get their hands on one. Why try to stop Iran? Let them have the nukes. If they try to attack anyone with it, then they will just have to prepare themselves to be attacked. But attacking them because they are "trying" to get a nuke is insane to me personally. Why try to stop the inevitable?
i agree. It is their right to build such powerfull weapons. My personal opinion is they shouldnt ! There is to much of this weapon in the world at this moment that we dont really need one country more to have it. We should really concentrate to use nuclear power for other things, since this is the cleanest power.

Why? Territories change hand all the time. That's what is war for. Just look at Iraq, until couple of years ago, it was an independent country while today is a colony.

Yeah, and when Israel fires on Iran guess what China and Russia will do? Israel will get themselves blown off the map. The military in the US is weak and overextended in other countries, and many Americans(including myself) refuse to go fight in foreign wars when we have a government who lies about why we are over there fighting. Vladimir Putin just go on the news recently and talked about Russia's missile capabilities. He is sending a message to the US that they are walking on a thin line with Iran, especially after the mess in Iraq. The top Chinese generals have already said they will nuke the US if they have to. And Iran is working closely with both these countries. Please. Just let Iran have the nukes. I don't want to have another world war just because one country wants weapons it is going to get sooner or later. Please explain to me what a 4 year old has in common with Iran?
You really think that china and russia supporting iran for getting their nukes? I doubt that There are muscle showings all around, including France, USA, China, Russia and more. Israel has not mentioned to use its nukes yet, unlike those mentioned above.
