Experimental Ad Revenue Sharing - Based on PR

I don't think this has been done before and I am very eager to try it out.

The idea is that ad revenue sharing is calculated based on the PR of pages you link from. I provide the content, but ad revenue is shared by the people who link to the page. Obviously the idea is to have as many high PR pages linking to the site so we can quickly go up in search rankings, getting free targeted visitors.

I have a site setup which consistently pays $1.50 per click on Adsense. It doesn't have any PR yet since I am only experimenting with PPC and haven't done any external SEO (the domain however has other pages which DO appear in search results)

According to Overture, searches for this niche are done 100k times a month - it's a broad market. $1.50/click and 100k searches a month can prove to be very lucrative if external SEO is done well...

I would like to attempt this experiment with people who have PR3+ pages at first to make it quick, and I guess that after a week or two Google should have the page in top 10 for our targeted keywords.

Obviously, the higher the PR of your site, the higher the weight of your ad exposure.

I would greatly appreciate any comments, and please PM with your site(s) so I can respond with the link etc.

    Proof sent
Since this is a 'group' project, you can also have a page/article linked from the main page about your site. We can't talk about PR now as not enough people are in the project. However if there are enough this can be very good for you...Good PR links to your site as well as instant Adsense revenue.
By the way, eCPM is between $20-$40.

bujes: you're not based in the US.

funkymario: you have no basis for affirming this. This is a screen snapshot with the rest of the info taken out. If you can't believe the statistics you just don't have experience with intensive MAD PPC campaigns. These numbers ARE what you get if you structure it well.

As I mentioned to you earlier these statistics originate from a PPC campaign where the ad setup was not very 'user friendly'. That is why I posted above that the actual eCPM once the site is up is between $20 and $40, not in the $60 range. The site itself is very 'user friendly' and content is valuable and unique, so good for Adsense.

    ---------------------------------

Anyone else, please read below for the details as to how this will function:

This is a joint project where contributors are rewarded based on the PR of the pages they link from. If you have access to high PR websites and can send quality links back to the main website, you will be awarded proportional Adsense ad views based on the following scale:

PR2 – all links will share 8% of visits
PR3-4 – all links will share 15% of visits
PR5 – all links will share 18% of visits
PR6 – all links will share 23% of visits
PR7+ – all links will share 28% of visits

Obviously, there will be less of the higher PR pages linking in, giving these sites proportionally many more Adsense ad views. Consider the following scenario:

    PR2 pages – 30
    PR3-4 pages – 50
    PR5 pages – 20
    PR6 pages – 10
    PR7+ pages – 5

Assuming the site receives 10,000 views a day:

The 30 PR2 pages linking in will share 800 views per day equally.
The 50 PR3-4 pages linking in will share 1500 views per day equally.
    …
The 5 PR7+ pages will share 2800 views per day.

To boost the pace of the project, for any person you refer you will get the same Adsense ad views they are getting – ie they link back from 2 PR5 pages: you will also receive 180 views per day.

    ABOUT THE ACTUAL WEBSITE

Currently there are about 80 pages of targeted, authentic and unique content (from a small pool test pageviews are at 4 per visitor). Once enough visitors are coming in through search engines, more pages will be added gradually. Traffic statistics will be available so that we can all monitor the progress live. There will also be a regularly updated list of all pages linking in and their PRs.
