    Hi ,

i am a new user to adwords and experiencing strange problems with it.
    e.g

    1) The no of clicks my account shows is about 15% more than what my website log stastics shows.

    2) Almost 60% of the visitors coming to my site stay only for 1 sec and do not visit any other page. I am sure all these are fake clicks though all of them are from different IPs . I have disabled the content search network and still it is happening.
i am damn sure the keywords are absolutely relevant. Probably my competitor is upto something fishy.

Has anyone else faced similar problems.

What should i do? Learned guys here please help me out.

It's difficult to fight click fraud (especially by a competitor), but there's one more step you should consider. Use the scheduling feature in AdWords to run your ads at times when they are most applicable. I had a pay per click ad running that would get clicks at 3:00 am in the morning, but would never convert. So I turned that time off and concentrated on the times when I was getting conversions. Ask yourself when your potential customers are most likely to look for your product/service and isolate your ads to those times.

Also, integrate Google Analytics into your website (or another stats package) to get more information about your visits. Maybe you can get some more data to help you find the problem.

    1. the two numbers will never completely match. I've never taken the trouble to compare, so I don't know if 15% is excessive.
    2. try also turning off the search partners. that can further help you isolate the problem.

Flip , Huligan thanks for your help...

I have integrated stats package from ewebcounter into my site...Shockingly for me it shows that almost 65% of user that is referred from adwords view my site for exactly one sec. this is just impossible unless it is a fake click..i am sure users would stay at my site at least a little longer..

Doesnt Google fight fake clicks. Also isnt it logical that a site visit of less than 5 sec thru adwords click be considered fake click:confused:.

Also sometimes it shows stats like user:unknown Ip address : unknown . It costs me real big money.

Can anyone please help tackle this problem.

Do i need to integrate google analytics or www.ewebcounter.com stats package is enough for me.

    Please help

Yes, if you are certain you are a victim of click fraud you can send your server logs to Google. You will not be charged for those clicks if they determine they are bogus.

One second is fast, but it is not uncommon to see people leave before they have been there for less than 5 seconds. There are compulsive clickers in the world and they don't even read before clicking. I'm saying they are creating your problem, I just want to let you know you will always fight this to some degree.

You can use both at the same time. Google Analytics only requires you put a few lines of HTML on every page you want to track. I use LiveStats (which runs off server logs) and Analytics. It shouldn't be a problem to use both.

Ya but still i don't understand how is it possible that 65% of my site visitors stay on my site for just one sec.
I am damn sure that my keywords and landing page are absolutely relevant. My quality score ranges from Ok to Great for all my keywords.

Can anyoine explain what is happening and how do i stop it.

Also I am based in India. Does Google have any india specific phone number or email. Can anyone tell me how do I report this fraud to Google.I tried using their contact us form but it is confusing to say the least.

Looking forward to some gyan from adwords experts over here.

Has anyone faced similar problems. guys please let us know.
