Experiences with Live Chat on your Blog

Here is an interesting one, not 24 hours ago I put on my blog a new Live Chat function (so that when I was online, people could chat with the author if they so desired).

I had my first contact come through today from Jay (Discuss-bb.org) from the forums here and he just wanted to pop in and say hello (so thank you Jay that was awesome to have it all tested out).

I have thought for a while that it would be a great (and somewhat different) way of interacting with users on my blog and giving them the opportunity to really get in and participate.

However I am curious to hear what other peoples experiences have been? Has anyone else done this, has it been a success or a flop?

I would recommend you to use yaplet.although not good in looks it works great.you can find that in my blog.

 

I too added the live chat application in my blog. It is a Great way to get the thoughts & suggestion from the visitors. Even I added the comment form in my blog. This will send the comments to my mail. So, I can get the visitors thoughts to my consideration. It will helps me to modify my blog according to the visitors request. So, it will be a Great success.
