I do on a few, it depends on the subject (and obviously traffic). I find on personal blogs earnings are dire, whilst more niche subjects can make some money.
I run adsense in mine ... a few CTR here and there, but not loads. However, it's a relatively new blog without a lot of traffic. But I don't see the harm in having it there ... it definitely won't make any money if they're not there ...
But i am not so sure about the Adsense i have not got one click yet but is pretty new. There is some guys i know he makes 200 a day from his blog but i think its rare.
I have Adsense on my blogs. I'm doing rather well. Mind you, I spend a lot of time working on my eCPM. When I first thru up Adsense, I got an eCPM well below 1.0, which is the experience most bloggers run into. A little elbow grease will increase that ten-fold.
A fair amount of my adsense revenue currently comes from blogs I am running - but they are all on fairly narrow niches and I also add some backlinks to ensure they get picked up and that works for me but no massive bucks
well, the traffic of my blog is now increasing. this is due to the recognition of Google to the pages of my blog. It is now receiving more traffic from Google search as along as from Yahoo. And while the traffic increases, my CTR maintains but my earning is increasing.
Blogs dont work well because ppl who read blogs are interested in a quick anicdote..not to buy something.
I run it on a couple of blogs and get a much lower click-thru than on normal websites. However, get all the factors right and you can make good money. Darren Rowse at problogger.net has loads of good advice.
It may be time to retire the idea of "blog". I use what amounts to full on content management software based on the blogging notion. Putting adsense in a regularily updated site works as a function of traffic. If it is pictures of your cat, well your mother will, perhaps, click an ad. Where you can make decent money is using the ease of blog based content management to create attractive, active, sites.
Yup...!! that's true...!! I'm using blogspot.com [http://lampusuluh.blogspot.com] So far, I'm satisfied with my adsense earnings. Even I'm an "adsense-beginner" and my English was not so good, but all my readers seems understand the whole contents. In order to create something different, I've tried to post an article about a "BRAIN" (seems like nothin' for me at first). But after that, my adsense increase just for that POST...!!!! (it's contributed so much for my earnings). And by that reason, I've put a special "link" at the bottom of my blog that is "Stimulate Your Brain" and it works...!! For me, blog also can give us a chance to make money....
well i would say adsense works preety cool on blogs. i have 4 themed blogs and 1 personal blogs. The thing is... themed blogs earn more than the personal 1....it also depends upon how much traffic you get and what topic your blogging. In the end placement of ads and there color scheme add to the effectiveness.
