I've recently been looking into running a Facebook PPC campaign for my employer. They sell designer clothes and I think because of the way you can target age groups etc it might work for us.

I'm just wondering what everyone elses experiences have been with it in the past?

Thanks for any info in advance

Not in the same niche but I will say it is good to use Facebook ppc if your target age is teens, I get a satisfied result with Facebook ppc

Ok I'll look forward to seeing your results. I might have set my own campaign up by then as well so I'll be able to tell you how ours is going.

Lifeplayer: I think the target range would be 16 or 18 upwards to about 35-40

Facebook provides a lot of fantastic opportunities for online marketers, but there are also a lot of pitfalls. Here are some guidelines that can help you get started with Facebook PPC Advertising.

We can get clicks starting at 10 cents per click on Facebook. Those of you who were around in the early days of Google AdWords will understand just how profitable that can be. To our great advantage there is very little competition now and we can get high quality traffic if we do some research.

Well it depends on if you are trying to raise your brand awareness, or actually trying to make sales. I think it is only about brand awareness then it is a good idea to get into Facebook ads. But if you want people to actually buy directly then it is much tougher, as people are generally not in a buying mood when on Facebook in my opinion. Also on Facebook ad blindness is a pretty big problem, so your ctr might initially be pretty good, but then steadily decrease, when this occurs it will also start to cost you more.

Just thought I'd give you a quick update. The recommended cpc was 80p-90p but we went with 30p and a £10 per day budget. After a week, the average cpc has only cost us 10p so we are on between 600-700 clicks. All well and good but from what I've read into, Facebook have disabled their conversion tracking facility so I can't find out if we've sold from the clicks. It's a shame as it would be useful to know if it's working. Does anyone know if there's a way around it?

My best tips would be targeting local market in Facebook first. It's usually much cheaper and gives your more chance to appear in the ads sections.
