Hey I have been writing articles for around 2 and a half years now (on and off) on a wide range and great variety of subjects and niches and, in addition, I run my own blog - Attempting Thought. Some reviews of my previous work can be found here and I still charge the same rate - $0.015 per word which equates to $7.50 for a 500 word article or, if you are in the UK like me, then £5 per 500 word article. 1p per word is not ridiculous I do not think. I have no desire to write for $1 for 500 words as I see from time to time advertised here although I will offer a decent discount if the work is in bulk (anything over 5 articles at a time) or if it is ongoing. I have no problems with articles that require a substantial word count as I am studying a Postgraduate Degree at university and, as such, I am well used to writing essays, dissertations etc...
