Hey guys, I have always been longing to create an MMORPG game like RuneScape.com or other big names out there. I have found someone else who thinks the same and now we would like to create a game. We would really like to partner up with 3-5 experienced/talented in PHP and MYSQL. This project will not be a quick cash product and we will al split any profits equally. At first we would like to create a PHP based game and hopefully later develop. I would really only like people who really like doing what they do and who can be trusted and feel the same. Please go ahead and post here or PM me and hope fully when we have enough people in the team we can begin our work. So basically you will get what I get and what everybody else gets (money wise) and you probably wont be getting paid for a while. So if you just want money, please do not PM me asking how much are you paying an hour or something like that as this will be a partnership that will hopefully be long-lasting. I am not picky on how experienced you are as I have really little experience in PHP and MySQL but would really like to learn and can hopefully fix problems and help a bit, but I can code HTML, CSS and possibly do some graphics. Well, I am still not the best, you see I am still quite new to the whole internet business as a whole, I have only been doing it for like 6 months now, but it has not been 24/7 you see, so I am, well I think quite good at CSS and HTML, graphics, still really beginner, like I can do simple things but not 3D stuff or cartoons, like text and logos I can do. I just want to really put the whole thing together, hopefully I will have a role apart from that, and I don't want to be totally useless. I am very good at using open source/framework materials and adapting it to what I want, that is how all my sites are made basically. www.listendog.com (wordpress) www.gamezi.com (gaming script customized, still under a bit of construction but working) And some more, but both listendog and gamezi (used to be gamesalways.co.uk) started off as static HTML web pages that I did all my self with some help from DP, so everything I have done has been self taught in stages, I am now learning PHP and variables and stuff and urls and I now know how to make a whole site in 2 basic files but with nice urls Anyway lol, thats I think what I can do really, code HTML and CSS quite well and a few graphics and a little PHP, but I have never implemented MySQL myself in PHP. What about you? Are you an experienced PHP coder then? Any examples? Thanks.. If anybody else wants to join in, please post here or PM me!
Sorry to tell you but it's gonna take a lot of money and more than 5 people to do this. Not to pay the programmers but for hosting, programs, testing, advertising etc.
Well, its actually not, I have hosting already, you don't 'need' advertising and if I want to do it, I can do it personally, you don't need more than 5 people to make a PHP game, it will not be complicated..., and you don't need programming... I used runescape as an example of some amazing work that once used to be so simple. So thank you for your input, but I think we can do it.
