You can add your widget to widget directory/platform like widgetbox.com, make it a social appand deploy it on Facebook and other soc-nets if that's possible...viral promotion is good if u have a good/interesting widget...you should mostly put attention in promoting it around blog owners. Also adding your widget website to sites like digg, reddit (you can use onlywire.com) will help promoting your widget. You should write some interesting articles in digg-type sites to attract attention of people. Hope I helped a little Regards
