Already use Joomla and Wordpress 1 Year Ago.
Wordpress Best for Simple Website, and Joomla have more user interface experience.
    They both worked well.

My experience with Joomla is minimal but it was great. It is very flexible and powerful if you're talking about just publishing content and articles, their CMS I mean. I haven't used their forum software, but otherwise I like it a lot.

I do not think so. Check out this tool : LINK

    They say :

This idea came to our mind when few clients asked us to move their site from WordPress to Joomla. It was a painful manual process of copying pages and exporting/importing SQL tables. With JConverter, all this is done in just one click.

    Good luck.

How is it going on StocksonWallStreet.net? I think you really need to consider joomla for more 'complicated' web application like AJAX or javascript. I think it is more 'powerful' than wordpress.

Unless you choose the simplicity of a blog. Just enjoy your Wordpress site.

    IMHO

Classified ads, membership sites, real estate listings, article directories and much more. LINK What I have seen with Joomla is that it is a CMS ( Content Management System ) that is a CMS "out of the box". Wordpress is a blogging platform that can be formed into a site like Joomla, but it takes more work because it was not created as a a CMS.

I explain it like this: Why try to put a Porsche engine in a Volkswagen when you can just buy a Porsche ? Joomla is not the only CMS out there. Many use Drupal or others.

Joomla is free, so my example above is not fully accurate, but you get the idea. Your original post stated that you want more user interactivity. Joomla or Wordpress can give you this, but Joomla would be less work.
