Experience With iPad

I am thinking about buying an iPad, but before I do, I'd like to know more about your experience with it.

Have you used it to write a blog post or short texts (500 words or so)? If you have, is it ok if I'm going to use it mostly for writing (and of course, email, surfing, photos, video etc..)?

    Thanks.

I had one for a week, (along with an iPhone and a MBP) didn't get to use it much. If I needed to type things I'd just startup my mbp. If I took public transport more then perhaps the iPad would make more sense. But I drive from point to point and rarely am without my laptop. I type much faster on it and it usually lasts me long enough.

No need to rush if you are uncertain whether you really want it or if you're gonna need it; after all, it is the 1st generation device and many non-Apple tablets will hit the shelves soon.

I bought one and I love it to death. But if you are unsure, wait a bit until the price lowers.

I have one and I own a blog. I've written full articles on my iPad via the Safari app without any problems. It did take about a day to get up to a decent speed of typing though because the keyboard (in landscape mode) is smaller then my laptop. I manage email on it without hassle and it's a great device for showing and storing pictures plus hundreds of other things. If you have the money get one. Just don't forget a case and screen protection. You will want it for piece of mind. :)
