Hey all, just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with Ebay as an affiliate? Do they pay per person that signs up, or does it depend on what they buy? thanks!
Mecal, I do not have direct experience with ebay. But what I am sure is that for sure they pay depending on what your client buys, but I could not confirm you If they also pay per person that signs up. You can go to ebay affiliates page and learn more about it: Search in google for: pages.ebay.com/help/sell/affiliate-program.html ebaypartnernetwork.com/files/hub/en-US/index.html

Ebay affiliate program is a waste of time and money.I just only concentrate on marketing and monetization.
Tundeakins, Hi, I think it depends on what is your website about and the amount of visits you have. For certain webpages, ebay could be a good option for you. So I think a webmaster looking for monetizing should evaluate advantages/disadvantages of promoting it. Regards, Robert
I have an electronics website, and i get a lot of users to go through ebay. I have a separate page that has ebay and amazon stuff on it, and i make some money from it.
People make a LOT of money off the ebay program. You get commissions from sales, and variable rate on signups.
Depends on your niche and traffic demographics. Give it a try, if you can't find good affiliate programs in your niche.
I completely agree. I've had horrible experiences with the ebay partner network. I prefer to promote programs that offer just as much money per lead but are actually professional for a change.
Hi I promote ebay on my sites and make about £50 a week which is not a big amount but it all helps. I have not worked out how they calculate the commission. I think they pull a number out of the air double it and take away 5
As much as I love to hate ePN, it's actually still a very good earner for me. Nowhere near as good as the grand old CJ days, but it's still in my top 3 monthly earners. For anyone who still thinks eBay is worth a shot, have a look at my eBay auction script... it's kinda basic, but it's 100% free
eBay use to have a great affiliate program. now it sucks big time! They use to pat $25+ per new registered member plus 50% to 75% of the listing fees for products won or bought at auction. Now they don't even tell you what you get if anything for new registered users or what % you get from sales. Many long time affiliates were cut off with no violations of the terms. eBay claims they were cut off because of the quality of the new members and the purchasing of the new members they send. They call it quality traffic or something??? You can spend a whole lot of time setting up a great affiliate program and have ebay cut you off without violating the terms. It really sucks!
