    I work for a SEO expert who sometimes specifically asks me to write articles with the keyword spelled wrong. Whilst I'm sure it does help the article to rank higher on Google if someone has misspelled it in the search engine, I wouldn't recommend doing it for your main site. Rather do it in your SEO articles that you use for backlinks.

    I think he is wanting to know if it's worthwhile to deliberately optimize a site to target misspelled keywords.

    Personally, I don't like the strategy much. When you have typos on your site you lack credibility and trust is hugely important to make sales. Also, for smaller keywords typo traffic is fairly negligible compared to the properly spelled keyword.

    I started this topic just to hear the opinion of other webmasters who have to deal with bad spelling

    Only to see hows reflected on theirs site visits.

    misspelled words help to move your site traffic for users with dislexia :), once word misspelled in google, google provides results with your site in first page, but also asks "DID YOU MEAN .... and gives correct spelling of the word", so if people decide to go with correct word, your misspelled keywords are out of search results.

    using one or 2 spelling incorrect is a good way to drive a few traffic from Google :)
    it happens due to the normal mistake by the users.
    i don't know more than these :)
