We've been having a struggle getting a merchant account opened. Not sure if it's the credit environment, our business model (a marketplace which can be labeled as "aggregation") or what. We were approved from one bank but they wanted us to put up a CD on the order of 2x monthly revenues which seems excessive and difficult from a cash flow perspective. We've been looking at alternatives and have heard good things about the following three merchant account providers: -CDG Commerce -Cybersource -Wells Fargo I wanted to see if anyone has had experience dealing with any of these three. I hope this is a helpful thread since my guess is that others are dealing with this as well.
All the 3 you found there are reliable and good companies, searching at google or even on one of the largest Web hosting forums on the Internet which have a forum for the same, you won't find any bad or negative reviews. Maybe a few from some scammy merchants but else nothing.
I worked with Wells Fargo in the past and have helped set a client up with Cybersource. No problems with eiher.
