Gents, Below I share my experience on the subj. Mind you, realizaton of the concept requires some financial resources. The concept is based on press-release distribution. Recently I have done 2 distributions in the best press-release services I know. Lets start the brief report followed by a short guidelines. PRWeb dot com - select SEO package - $ 200. Results - more than 110 backlinks from such sites like Yahoo! News, International Business Times, PRWeb itself, ComputerUser, StreetInsider, etc PRNewsWire dot com - select 'Online Visibility' package - $ 285 Results - more than 180 backlinks from such sites as Yahoo! Finance, Yahoo Canada, PRNewsWire itself, TMCNet, ASELabs, StockNod, NewsChannel5, etc I knew its going to be like that since I used these services last year, but now I used the following enhanced tactics that allowed me to increase the backlinks number and also the online visibility of my domain name (non-linked mentioning of www.mydomain.com): 1. Place your domain name in title of press-release. You will get thousands of mentionings of your domain name, since some resources only publish titles. 2. Place the link to your site already in the first sentence of the press-release. Since many resources publish only the title and summary, your backlink will be 100% inside such short publication. 3. Place a number of links in the perss-release, and point these links not only to mainpage, but also to different important pages. That will help in SERP ranking increase of several website pages, not only of your mainpage. 4. Finally, constantly scan on which website and on which page your press-release has been published (your backlinks appear) and set a link or two to such pages from your websites. That will enforce Google to keep these publications in cache for long time. You can also try Marketwire dot com and Businesswire dot com to empower your results. Success!
You're spot on with you recommendations. That's why I stoped using free PR websites or websites syndicating to google news. You pay $200 or sometimes less but your PR gets distributed to high authority websites and journalists and it might actually be published in newspapers.
Well, actually even more, I was contacted by online media journalists several times to elaborate on the topic for their future articles, that I later spotted on the web.
I never got the same success with those two sites unless your are counting mentions not links ... Yahoo news is not a link, all news sites are content aggregates that do not keep the content on dedicated pages I get links from their sites yes but not many others , you need to differentiate between a mention to your domain on somebody's else site which has no link value and an inbound link
wisam74us, in my first post I mentioned 200-500 backlinks (Yahoo makes the backlink redirected indeed). If I count also mentions (non-linked), it is currently 2 400 mentions in google cache from these two press-releases. Some of them will not survive in cache though.
