Has anyone ever done this before, meaning putting adsense in the member profile, they get spidered so much I thought why not, nothing outrageous. So I know this may be a touchy subject but looking for answers on those that have done it and what that experience was good or bad.

I'd bet your clickrates are next to nothing so what's the point?

the ads will be poorly targeted and not match the intention of the user which is to find about the person in the profile.

That may be true but has anyone done them with seeing any success at all?

Adsense is definitely not the best approach to monetizing a forum.

A forum tends to have a lot of pageviews and next to no clicks with Adsense.

    On profiles even less!

    What is your forum about?

It's a general Canadian based forum. So anything from mortgage to what they had for breakfast. I am starting to thinking maybe member profiles are off limits. If there is no money in them and sounds like they would bring down the overall eCPM.

I'd stick to something else for the member profiles.

Offer it to a local dating website maybe? Or something "people-based" Perhaps even a local bar/pub/club?

That is not a bad idea at all, nothing to general but specific, works for me, I will try it and let you know my progress of how it worked:)
