Suggestion Expedited post reports for paid members?

This would be desirable for people selling in the marketplace I think, as I've just run into this problem over here:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1891940#post14699339

There is some wanker posting in my thread "oh that sounds too good beware I think he is a scammer!" which I reported, but how long will it sit there staining my sales thread, and how long can I hold off on posting in response (which will just feed the problem) or contacting him directly which will be hard to do without ramming his own shhhhtt down his own throat... ?

If we put in a priority drop down or radio button option when reporting a problem post, where on the mod/admin end you'd get posts like these flagged... It would help sellers have a better experience here and take care of new members on the wrong path faster before they cause a ruckus.. ?

Well basically you'll just have to wait. If the mods deem that the poster was indeed posting inappropriate and/or rude posts then certain actions will be taken. On the other hand, I don't think you should really be ALL that concerned. What I mean is, if you yourself know that you are a good trader and has never scammed in your entire life then why worry. Also, iTrader records are the best way to describe a dealer. If you have a clean, good record then people won't really mind what that guy posted in your thread. They may even think that he's just blackmailing you and he's not even a reputable member that had just registered last month! I highly doubt that people will instantly believe him. :)

Hey Grimm, thanks for the response, good to run into you again. I wasn't worried about it at all myself, nor upset about the time things take. It just sprouted the thought for the suggestion. I know despite these truths, it's still no morale or mood booster for anyone looking at such posts. Since those of us who've been around a while and have any experience in marketing, we know that studies have shown how suggestible people are, and how simple things like a color change on a button can affect response rates.... Heh, I called it a sales thread in the OP, I meant marketplace thread. Like this post is kind of a bad example, cause I really could care less, it's an offer to help others, those who piss on it are just advertising their hate for themselves or something like that, delving into psychology at 5:30am is not really on my standard daily activities list, so forgive my lack of ability to convey the message better, but I think you probably know what I'm getting at here. and I hope a mod didn't read this before my ticket was answered as I'd hate to think I was after rush service.
If my thread were an actual sales thread with a good thing going on, it could have more adverse results.
Oh hey I know.. Another possibility along these same lines.... An option to allow or disallow replies to your thread... or require a higher user rank to post replies.... probably prevent it from happening in the first place.... with little to no loss, as newer members would simply PM instead....
Anyways, no biggie, maybe I didn't hit the nail on the head with this one, but it's always good to spark up discussions and brainstorm ideas to help improve things for ourselves together, as a whole.

Very well said there. Well I think that can prove useful to new dealers here in DP just to give them a heads on these kinds of situations. I also think that the marketplace should be a little more strict, well I don't go there anyway but I think it would be very helpful to members like you. I also think that having a higher post count is required before you can even post anywhere in the marketplace, 35 or 45 posts? While newbies without the required amount of posts can merely send a PM until they met the necessary requirements.

If it were my forum, and there was not going to be a paid aspect, you would need 100 posts, and you would need at green reputation, and to pass a written test / online quiz regarding the marketplace rules. That would have helped me and my ability to avoid infractions earlier on, I think. While making sure that anyone posting is serious and willing to take the needed time to do it properly. You should need a "marketplace license", just like you need a driver's license to drive. While we're on this subject, we need to make a license to procreate as well!
