I am using Switch Content Script a Javascript that expand / collapse the content, Script from Dynamic Drive.

I use it to add more text in my home page.. without changing the design. I put it at the bottom of my website... it show titles when you click on title it expand.

Is this considered hidden text ? Would it be a bad or positive effect on my ranking??

Google could actually find the DIVs which are hidden off the webpage for instance because when i use search engine stimulated to see how Google see your website... i find that he read the text and show it.

So the DIV hide text only from visitors till they click on the title to read more.

I did that to make long content without messing with design. I hope will not affect my position negatively.

Well, those limited text parts will not be having huge impacts on rankings and SEO perspectives. Off page optimization factors have been the focal point among webmasters.

It only depends on how your website/page will look for the eye of the search engines ;)

Take a look at your website using a text-only browser or simply check the cached edition of your site instep to know more about how it get's indexed.
