I am trying day to day to define religion as myth or fact.- The bible describes the events behind the Jews that were freed from bondage in Egypt. And the things that God did to protect them. Pestilence, death to first born, the nile turning to blood, the parting of the Red Sea, the tower of fire , Manna from heaven, water out of rocks. So why did God allow 6 million Jews to die in World War 2 without a single "miracle sign" such as those mentioned here and in the Bible?

Interesting 1st post - will he be back?

Keep reading and you will see where God's judgement is placed on many also. I have heard of many miracles during WWII but they are on a personal level rather than as a whole. Much of what God does is on a personal level, but the Nation of Isreal he also deals with as a nation throughout history, blessings and judgements.

(I have a feeling this wasn't a question looking for answers but will probably be another attack of some sort on the Bible, but I guess I can be proven wrong (again.))

During the exile God allowed a whole generation of Jews to die (hence why they wandered for 40 years)...as far as WWII, the Jews survived, and now have the promised land back...For everything that God has done that is seen as a negative, God also does a positive, in the same way that he always fulfills his promises.

Six million Jews died, but many lived and the nation of Israel was rebirthed which is a miracle in and of itself.

God has his purposes for Israel, no matter how much the rest of the world k'vetchs. It is interesting to watch Biblical events unfold these days.

How many tries have you made, Never give up (you may even invent something like edison)

    Thatz a myth
You are comparing a fact with Myth., No use

    Think this way:
    History repeats itself.,
If death of jews on ww2 is a repeated history, then during jesus era, it should have been true, (so noone saved them)

I cant seem to get a direct answer to the question. I'll put it another way. Did God suddenly decide to stop performing miracles at some point in time long ago? There seems to be no miracles today that COMPARE to the ones described in the Bible. Why would God do so much for forty thousand and nothing for six million ?

There is many miracles everyday, big\small - whatever ...
Just because you don't see it - it doesn't mean that there is no miracles ;)

Stop right there... religion is (or should be) based on a spiritual belief, not a scientific entity. Don't even try to prove it as fact or myth; it cannot be done...

I think I saw an outline of Jesus in my slice of toast this morning:)
I put some butter on him.
    Amen

Did you notice that the people of Israel didn't even see much of that as miracles while it happened? People doubted God when they had manna the next morning and he instructed Moses that they would.

They had a piller of fire and smoke and still questioned whether God brought them out in the wilderness to die.

So, what things have you not noticed? (Personally I am guilty of the above quite often.)
