Exoclick A Rip-Off?

Discussion in 'Pay Per Click Advertising' started by tlbuckingham, May 22, 2007.

I signed up for Exoclick a few days ago and the first day (yesterday) I had over 100 clicks between two websites. I looked at my impressions and my clicks on Commission Junction and it shows only 4 clicks and 11 impressions. Today I have another 100+ clicks and again CJ shows no clicks and no impressions.

    Anyone experience this?

Update: I emailed them and they were quick to respond and stated they are looking into the issue.

First off let me say that I am advertising with Exoclick and I can say that everytime I add click to my existing campaign or add a new campaign as soon as I hit the submit button I start getting charged for it.

For example I did a test for one ad of my ads at 1 cent per click with 150 clicks and less than 30 minutes later the campaign has ended. Now I use ritecounter and CJ to track how many impressions and clicks I receive and they show as none.

I emailed exoclick and the responded by asking how reliable my tracking is. I responded back and have not heard back since.

tlbuckingham, we have a lot of advertisers working with us, some of them among DP. And we do check that they get quality traffic. We have no point to rip-off advertisers as you mentioned in the title of this thread. Rip-off advertisers would be shooting our own foot. Believe me, we want our advertisers to make money.

Which is why we verify each publisher and verify the traffic sent if there are doubts from an advertiser.

    Still.
    - Unfortunately, not each and every advertiser will have a success.
    - There will always be differences between tracking systems. Install 3 different counters on your site, you will get 3 very different results.

However, no impressions at all, I can't understand. I will have another look at your account right now.
Edit: I didn't find anything wrong with the clicks that have been sent to your campaigns. I'll try to have a deeper look tomorrow. All clicks are from valid surfers, from our search portals.

I read your PM and thanks for looking into the matter. I also setup a new campaign (text ad this time about 5 minutes ago) and this time I have not received a click and it may sound funny but thats a good thing because before clicks would happen immediately.

so I am setting up a campaign with them, and it's asking for bid and clicks - I can limit how many clicks I want to receive with the campaign?
