Bounce rate is defined as the percentage of visitors who view only one page of your site like home page
Exit rate is defined as the percentage of visitors who view only one inner page of your site or it may be defined as that how many visits that single page have received

Exit Rate is the percentage of visitors that leave your website from a given page based on the number of visits to that page.

Bounce Rate is the percentage of visitors that land on a particular page, visit no other pages in your site and leave your site completely.

Exit Rate (of a Page): The number of visitors leave a page to the number of visitors visited that page (either direct visits or indirect).

Bounce Rate (of a Page): The number of visitors leave a page to the number of visitors who visited your website from that same page and didn't visited any other page after that.

I hope this would be helpful.

The main point is time length here.

If visitors are not passing lots of time on your site then there would be high bounce rate which is not good, you need to improve your site's design, look, content etc. to maintain bounce rate.

Exit rate as a term used in web site traffic analysis essentially represents the percentage of visitors to a site who actively click away to a different site from a specific page, after possibly having visited any other pages on the site.
Bounce rate is an Internet marketing term used in web traffic analysis. It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and "bounce" (leave the site) rather than continue viewing other pages within the same site.

Thumbs up. This more or less sums up what bounce rate and exit rate are.

    Have a good day!

The bounce rate of a website is the number of visitors that enter your website on a particular page and then leave without going to any other pages.Exit rate is similar to bounce rate in that the exit rate of a page is the percentage of visitors that visit a particular page and then leave your site from that page.

Bounce rate is the percentage of people who visit on a page and immediately left from this page. That's means only view single page. Bounces are always one page sessions. And Exit rate is the percentage of people who left your site from that page. Exits may have viewed more than one page in a session. :)

Exit rate is still bewildering me. Anyone to clear it? Upto me i can't understand and it seems to me that both are same because in both cases, there is only one visiting page:)

Bounce rate is something when visitors visit your site and bounce back without even visiting any other pages. Exit rate is page specific. If a visitor exits from any of the pages (includes pages which the visitor might have navigated to from the landing page), then the pace at which this takes place is called exit rate.
