you can get an estimate at Alexa.com but it will not be very accurate since it shows traffic information based on the alexa toolbar.

Also, be careful about fake traffic. If someone wants to sell you the domain for big $$, they can purchase cheap traffic (i.e. 10K visitors for $12USD), to get their Alexa rank up. The other problem with Alexa for legitimate, but low traffic domains, is that the degree of error is very high (unlike high traffic, where it's rather accurate). So as Ahkip said, your best bet would be to ask the owner for real stats. Best.

yea, and for the fake traffic, you should ask for at least three month of traffic stat and referral source(just traffic doesn't mean much, you need to know where traffic come from)

Please read my post;) Anyone can buy traffic, and then use it to boost their Alexa ranking. Although there is nothing wrong with purchasing traffic (and many website owners do to increase awareness/sales), just be aware of the practice when it's done exclusively for the purpose of increasing the Alexa ranking short-term to get a higher $$ on the domain sale.

If you're using Alexa as your rough guide, at the very least look at the 3-month average, instead of 1-week/Daily.

And you probably should not (i.e. for the most part, it's a waste of money, even at $12/10,000 visitors). Organic traffic is what really counts.

I agree. Alexa traffic also good for internet marketing sites to brag about their alexa rankings.
