Hey guys, if anyone is an expert with LAMP servers this is for you. Almost every single day, I get email notices that the EXIM service has failed on my server. In addition, this is often accompanied by a notice that IMAP has also failed. They both seem to restart by themselves in most cases, but it creates delays with receiving email. It is also a huge headache! Why does this keep happening? FYI before you ask: - Antirelayd is disabled - Eximstats is disabled - cPBandwd is disabled *exim is enabled and monitored *exim on another port (26) is enabled and monitored *imap (dovecot) is enabled and monitored Other enabled services: - cpdavd, ftpd, httpd, ipaliases, mailman, mysql, named, spamd, sshd, syslogd Oh, and this is a VPS server on a cloud hosting environment (Xen, RAID 10, 6MB RAM, solid setup) Thanks ahead of time for any help and insight!
Hello there, You are going to have to start checking into your log files to find out why the process is being killed. Perhaps chkservd is not seeing the processes as being active. BTW - I hope that was a mistype for your RAM, 6mb. Chris
