Exersaucer.org - what is worth?

I have purchased this domain, one word, English dictionary, generic word, good extension, good market, reasonable search volume, very low competition, domain is "baby/toddler products"

How much do you think it is worth?

 

I say low to mid xx.

 

Could you please tell me on what you based your estimate? I would estimate it somewhere in the high $xxx and low $xxxx. It is very difficult to find these days one single English dictionary word and register it with one of the 3 domains .com, org, org

 

The word itself though is not common therefor not worth much. It's kind of lengthy and the extension isn't the best.

Why are you pricing it so high? Is there PR? A ton of backlinks?

 

I would have to agree with Jerlene. The word is not a very common one, in fact I'd never even heard of it before. Just searched the word Exersaucer on google and found 199,000 results.
I checked its backlinks and their wasn't that many pointing to the site.
I think you need to be realistic. You could get mid $xx but if you did some work on the domain and developed it you could get more.

Thanks for your replies. Well, I just purchased the domain because I thought it is a deal, since it is one single word, English dictionary, etc.

Indeed it is not a common word, but as you said, the competition is low, 199 k. I don't have backlinks for it since I didn't intend to develop it.

However I started a website on http://exersaucer.blogspot.com which is now on the second page in G for exersaucer search, which is not high but also not low. I intended to forward the domain there but because Blogger's errors for custom domains I lost my patience and dropped it.

 

i would say that the domain is worth reg-fee. i have seen better and more common dictionary words available in this extension

 

I've also managed to forward it to the blogspot website. Now it has a website behind. And it in on the sencond page in G.

It is new, at this point for the search term "exersaucer" I am on the second page in G and it gets around 500 per month, as an estimate but it barely has 2 weeks I think, I have to check
