Guys, I found that most bloggers don't even respond to very very nice emails. No reactions at all through direct email contact, even if you got a high PR. I know I should post some comments on theirs first and simulate some friendship but... just wanted to ask if someone got similar experiences?
Your best bet is to write a post and review the blog you are interested in. Content links with good keyword anchor text are much more valuable than a simple link exchange anyway. Most bloggers will return the favor with a link back to your blog in the future. Sometimes you must give before you can receive. Good luck in your link building quest.
Yeah but for the most part, most bloggers won't respond to you unless you have something that will help them, like page rank or big traffic. If your letter said something like: "I have a PR7 blog and I'm looking to exchange links...." , that's all you need to say they'll be kicking you door down. I have had no luck getting reciprocals for my blog, but mostly because I can't find the bloggers I'm looking for. No one seems to write on the subject matter.
Write unique content that people find interesting and they will link to you without you getting involved in link exchanges.
I agree with what DarrenC is saying. Write a great top 10 list or something and people will link to you like crazy. Just really put some time into it. The better the bloggerie the better the result!
I've never had a hard time reaching other bloggers. The key is to have something to offer them, like a good article they can link to or refer to. Before asking for something from others, why not offer them something first. When people think you're just interested in using them, they like to ignore you.
Hello bigp It wud be nice if u can offer some more tips! I am trying my bit to contact the bloggers for exchanging a Blog Post! Thanks...
Right now I'm going around asking people who run music related blogs for any information they might want to share while I review it. Nothing in return, and I'm not asking for anything new. I haven't had a problem with anything yet, and have only not heard from 2 of the people I've written to. It's all a matter of what you ask for and how you go about doing that. Offer them something and they'll respond better. But I know that if someone just wanted to exchange links I would have to really like their site. I'd much rather get a contextual link.
Thats a nice insight Waffles! Well I am modifying the contact process here and there... Lets see how it progresses, but will post my method that will finally work out!
