Hi, Hope someone can advise on the following. Im going to use site1 & site2 for this So, site1 domain is going to be changed onto site2 website Also, site2 domain is going to be changed to site1 website Basicly exchanging domains, not sites. I have site1 on my sever with site1 domain, but site2 domain and site is on another hosting Whats the best way to make site1 have site2 domain and site2 to have site1 domain?? Is it as simple as just changing where the a record points ?
Sadly, not. If they were both on the same server, i would get you to swap them around by moving the folders, but i guess not.
my guess would be to download both sites to your local computer then upload them opposite of each other. Depending on your connection and how big the sites really are it would still be faster than changing records or dns servers. hopefully you don't have a logo with the domain address in it. i could see that being your biggest problem once you got it moved.
