Exception from service object: Invalid authorization key

    Hello all,

    I am getting the error stating 'Invalid Authorization key'.

    I just have got google Api key number, but i do not know how to authenticate my website with the newly assigned google api number,

    Anyone knows how, please assist,

    uh, are you sure its a right api key? They have ajax api keys and google maps api keys. I don't think their giving out new google api keys so if you got one recently, it's probably not the right type. You need a Google Search api key, which they discontinued a while back

    yea little confuse at googleapis page because thats my first time get in there and im choose wrong api key (maps). thanks for help blin100

    hehe, no problem. what's kind of confusing about the tools page is that it still provides a link for you to get the google api key, when they aren't giving them out anymore. (to my knowledge) so pretty much, new users can't use the keyword tracker for the google search engine. kind of depressing...but, such is life :p

    So i can still get old Google API key on aforementioned page?

    Where exactly? Can you provide exact link?

    nope, sadly, google isn't giving these out anymore, they;ve been phased out.

    And Google Ajax Search is entirely different than Google Search? It cannot be substituted?

    the problem there is that the api code you get for ajax is not accepted by the google search api that is used by the tool, so theres actually no way for anyone new to use it, unless google decides to magically reopen it. There was some news a very long while back that there was a backpage that was still giving it out, but by now, I've checked like all of them, and theres not a hint :(

    to be honest...I have absolutely no idea how the tool actually works, I certainly wish they could :p
