Excellent beginning php books for beginners

    I was hoping to get some of your ideas about what you thought was the best beginning php study book to purchase was?

    Mainly for PHP 4 and 5.

    I have a couple, but most are pretty cryptic in explaining the whys of why you should program and do a particular string etc etc.

    I've never used books, always found the best way to learn is to start building something. Set yourself a challenge and then work out how to do it using Google/php.net etc... :)
