That doesn't look like "Google" doesn't approve of that many UR L's...That service just doesn't want to generate more than 500, perhaps to sell a product. Google does recommend some "free" site map generators. I would recommend you try another site :)

we have a free sitemap generator but it's for static sites as it indexes physical files. We don't really aprove of crawlers for any site particularly large dynamic websites as it can put exsessive load on the server and doesn't allow you to manage change effectively.

The best way to create a sitemap for dynamic sites is to connect it directly to your database.

You should know the format of your webpages and querystrings so write an SQL script(s) to get the relevant records and build it that way. In ASP.net this is really easy using an XmlTextWriter. you can divide your map up into multiple maps such as one for each category or brand.

Also you will more than likely have time stamps on your records where as if you spidered the page you may not know when it was really last updated.

Just a quick general comment. It is possbile to have database driven based sites with only e.g. 100 pages and static ones with e.g. 1000 pages. The only differences is that it is more likely for database driven sites to have (and/or generate) more pages. You can also have .html pages that actually execute e.g. PHP code. You can also have e.g. PHP generated pages that do not connect with databases but still utilize "?" get parameters or/and mod rerwrite.

If you choose a software based sitemap generator running on your own PC (see the Google page or use my sitemap generator tool *G*) you will not be affected by the (quite reasonble) restrictions some/many (?) online sitemap generators have.
