Celebrities fan pages are most successful these days.

 

that depends..other than celebrity fan pages, my other favorite fan pages include those that talks about a certain community (like a community of PhotoShop Editors and practitioners). The best strategies would be to provide links to free applications, enhanced interaction and of course, images of sample works.
