Hi On the following page http://easter.newarchaeology.com/2009_easter_date2.php In a vertical column on the RIGHT of the page visitors from the UK should see Affiliate Ads (John Lewis) whereas visitors from overseas should see Adsense. Here's how I did it. 1) I Downloaded a spreadsheet of ip ranges and associated countries. Uploaded this to my SQL database. 2) Wrote php code to read visitors IP and check against the database entry. 3) Finally a little 'if / else' routine to display one or other of two include files. Now for my requests to you. A) Please can someone from outside the UK please check that they are indeed seeing adsense ads (vertical banner on right of page) for me? B) Is there a better way of going about this? C) Have i broken any obscure TOS? thanks C
Hi.. I see adsense - and I am not in the UK. Have you run a split test to see if you affiliate ads pays more than adsense for UK visitors? The ad in the top seems a little to big. You should also try adding link units.
