    Ding dong -- Perry Wrong

The wording in the US is Can-spam of 2003, not can spam and is targeted against the porn and get-rich-quick industry. Email sent to a former client that did not request it can be in violation. A double-optin, with an opt-out is essential. Regulated in the U.S., Canada and others have joined in. Also complying are most ISP providers. (Turkey for example, is often a drop point for illegal U.S. based Email)

Most large ISP providers have a built in filter, and the list of prohibited words are tremendous. Being contracted with one of the United States largest suppliers of email addresses, I have 3 sheets that attempt to break it down in easier terminology.

The average company or individual cannot do an email of over 100 words, with complete compliance. Very few people that use firms charging under $100/hour get efficiency. My wife's corporation does exclusive work with the insurance/financial industry. A quality email blast that is legal is expensive. An example would be $985.00 to reach 1,500 B2B opt-in business people. That does not include preparation of the message.

Case in point. Client representing Blue Care/Blue Shield, emails us expensive well prepared piece for review. It ends up in spam. A multi-billion dollar company had it prepared, but never properly tested. I, just by knowing a good chunk of prohibited words, saw problem. The culprit, was the word "leverage", a word used in get rich programs. This is probably a $5,000 prepared piece w/video. A total waste for the sender.

The estimate of email spam of total requested far exceeds 90%. Filters, can block considerable amounts. Personal people hitting the spam button causes reaction. ISP service providers react quickly if the spammer is one of their own.

The 3 second attention span for attention is common acceptance for members of the DMA, Direct Mail Association. An authority in mail, email advertising.

So Perry, spend less time with your useless internet dribble. The OP if sincere, wanted a need to know. Know as is in know what you are talking about.

Not only are there can-spam and filter trigger words used, but a clean professional look is needed. That is going to cost $100 hour.

Perry, the board here would get rich if they collected $100/hour for all the wrong advice you give, and meaningless posts.

Once again, um, green-eyed wizard, their title is Cann. You know. 2 "n"??? lol Jesus.

As for the rest of your ramblings (BS, words that don't make sense and or has nothing to do with the actual threads, and lies to make yourself look intelligent)...he, nor I, could care less....

    I'm still amazed! lol

Sorry about this, timebinder, but, hopefully, you got your answer.

    Perry:

    YOU SHOULD BE AMAZED.

Countless members here point at how little you actually know, yet you pretend you do.

What about that writing contest, about something not porn?

You do not fool many OP's as most are far above your knowledge area in writing.

By the way, why do you post here? This is suppose to be for writers.

Obviously, to understand a brain, you need to have one too. But you are so much occupied with your bottoms and laughing them off, that you hardly give time to your brains to develop.

"The CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 (15 U.S.C. 7701, et seq., Public Law No. 108-187, was S.877 of the 108th United States Congress), signed into law by President George W. Bush on December 16, 2003, establishes the United States' first national standards for the sending of commercial e-mail and requires the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to enforce its provisions. The acronym CAN-SPAM derives from the bill's full name: Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography And Marketing Act of 2003. This is also a play on the usual term for unsolicited email of this type, spam. The bill was sponsored in Congress by Senators Conrad Burns and Ron Wyden."

Quoted from Wiki (I mean Wikipedia in case your feeble brain, if there is one, fails to understand the meaning)

With Perry, Any mature brain knows his ability, however how did he get that feeble?. He seems to be so proud of knowing nothing.

All he sees of life is blah, blah, blah.

Again, Perry why do you post your dribble from your deep throat here? This is for mature writers, not 71 year old boys still pretending.

Go play with your empty pockets, and let others learn and earn.

Aren't you two going to take advantage of that two-for-one special for getting your temples massaged?

    I think it's quite a deal, actually.

Parsibagan just took it one level above stupidity. Congratualtions, son! *pats the clueless noob on the head*

Sorry, dyadvisor that you got knocked out of first place. Hey, maybe with your next post, huh?
