Hi Anyone care to share his ideas, maybe an example of how to structure such an amount of pages. Regards rik
I was thinking about the same thing recently. Aside from standard nav links, I would generate a script that would alternate links on page view so that there is more incentive for spiders to get in deep, and the internal link text can be helpful for sure. Maybe 10 links a page in the sidebar or footer in addition to categorized links + major topic links.
I would randomly generate a link from a database, and keeping it on the most updated page of my site (the one spiders are going to crawl more often), usually the home page. I would change them only after a certain period to let the spider do the job. (A day could be enough for certain sites) Another idea could be to choose blocks of x id's from the database and show them on the home page. This way you're almost sure that within a certain period of time (depending on number of pages and spiders speed)all the pages are spidered. I'm going to try this on my site. I'll let you know the results.
Be sure to not over do this, I thought google doesn't like such "spammy" sites, they want unique quality content
I have just created some blocks on my main page, it extracts random pages from the database each time a quest visits the site, lets see what will happen.
My aim os not to be spammy!!! But just to let Google index more pages of my site! I have thousands pages but only 200 are indexed. I'm just showing existent and valid contents.
