    Hi
i need expert advice , while doing keyword research Should i use exact search or broad search in Google adword keyword tool. I think exact search is better becoz it gives proper idea about exact search.

what do you think ? and explain KEI if possible

    Thanks for Help.

Exact search Gives you the accurate result in which how many times a particular keyword is searched, broad search includes the keyword plus additional words( words that containing the keywords also)..the best keyword research is finding the Exact search results..:)

Well, exactly exact search seems to be one of the best way to go with as it reveals at least more possible situation than broad search. Further when it comes to KEI - it is the keyword effectiveness Index. which is calculated by keeping number of searches and competition factor as a base.

I usually use both, particularly if I am not familiar with the niche. After getting keywords using broad search, I then pick out keywords and run them under exact search for comparison. But I prefer Exact search over Broad though.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

If you are concerned with accuracy for individual keywords, select Exact Match. If you instead want to find keyword grouping trends, take a look at Broad Match. That way you may find good primary target keywords that also have a lot of overlapping long tail keywords.

You'd better watch both. but look at the exact match when picking up your keyword.

Only use exact, otherwise you'll be in for a rude awakening when you see your traffic. Even then it can be less than what it says. Not always.
