I have a domain about weight loss pills with 590 monthly global exact match searches, but 100% competition. Do I have good chances to rank high with this domain with a e-commerce shop? Or should I sell it? Thanks!
How strong is the 1st page competitions? If there's not much competition then you're good to go with blog. Regards.
The way things presently stand with Bing EMD's get page 1 so easily it is a joke (not a very funny joke though IMHO) so... A very sad state of affairs that RE EMD's thing IMHO! But then the TOS will likely say it (Bing as in Microsoft's product) is not fit for purpose, like they usually do, so who cares, it's not like it matters is it now... Your EMD will likely do well enough and just think some more Apple devices will carry Bing as default SE unless changed by users soon to so an extra boost for the EMD's to bear in mind to.
There is good chance that you would rank higher if you do on-page optimization correctly.. But you should research the competition well.... mainly analyze top ten sites in Google, if all of them have gotten high page rank then it may be tough as well.
Yes if you have EMD.com/org/net/local then there are good chances to rank in 1st page. But be careful with SEO as they are rolling a lot of EMD updates. Again "590 monthly global exact match " isn't this too less and traffic is shared b/w 3-4 websites who rank on top for these keywords and there would be Adwords ads too. You can get maximum traffic for a keyword if you rank #1 slot however if you are in page 1 but not in top 3 slots, traffic is much lesser.
Why no? Maybe the right question is how long will your site rank. Everybody has a chance but it depends on the competitors for that keyword. For this matter, you have to examine the competitor's site or the sites on first page. If these sites are well established then you would be having difficult times ranking your site. But with great SEO implementation, you will surely get the position you really want.
