Has anyone had any luck with EMD since the Google update or found a workaround? I had around 60 domain names vanish after the update and I'm working to get ranked again by implementing some proven SEO methods (backlinks, quality content, etc). I realize that the days of buy an EMD and rank in a few days are probably gone, but what have you guys done to rank since the update? Have you had more luck with longtail urls like: yourdomain/product-you-are-promoting?

From what I've read, the days of quick ranking are over. You need to actually develop the site. This doesn't just mean content but getting social mentions and links from relevant sites. The EMD adjustment and Google Penguin 2.1 really inflicted a massive double whammy for EMD SEO.

EMD or type in domains work just fine.
You've to have Original Quality Content in your site.
Provide info people can Benefit and Learn from it.
Following this simple rule and Google will come to you
    rather the other way around.
