Hi, I have exact match keyphrases and a low search volume. Is the best way to deal with this, to edit them and turn into broad match? thanks.
For PPC you want to focus more on buying terms even if the competition for those terms is high. You can bid less than others and still appear higher on PPC ranks if you have a high enough quality score. Google takes a combination of your quality score and bid to determine rank. To increase your quality score, all you have to do is make sure that your creatives are accurate to what the website offers and have a high click through rate. It is important that once your ad is seen, that it is clicked on at a high percentage of time, and that once clicked on the end user is staying in your site. This is why quality of words on a PPC campaign is so important, you want to make sure consumers are being brought to your site more often than researchers, otherwise you will not achieve the positive ROI you are looking for.
Google has a keyword suggestor, I would add them all, usually there are a ton. Even if you only get 1 more view a day for each keyword, take 100 keywords, and think about it in a few months.
No, that's not your very best option. Sometimes using accelerated delivery helps a bit, however it's still not the solution. You may have to do some more keyword research. Try to brainstorm ideas, think of what problem your product solves. I'm assuming there isn't enough traffic for your current keywords to support your business. Bottom line: Look for new keywords, broad match will bring you too much unqualified traffic. Alternatively, if you insist on using the broad match strategy, why don't you try the modified broad match(UK, USA and Canada only).
