I am sitting here doing what the rest of the planet does, trying the find the best exact match that can possibly meet needs; most of the time I end of failing to reach that goal because you think that every keyword on this god forsaken planet is taken.... So i am doing my search in google tools, and i run across this keyword that absolutely makes no sense what-so-ever...I am thinking there is no moron on this planet that is using this keyword in a search engine, then I go to google and do a search, and low and behold, I see major sites that relate.... 3 word term; makes no sense why someone would search in that manner. 195,000 Global Searches (exact keyword match) 30,000 Local Searches (exact keyword match) 500k google results (when I search for exact keyword match) all domain extensions are available: maybe because normal people think only a moron would search for this so no one has bothered to register any of the domains... Its not an exact match that would be considered exact match, as I am just going by keywords shown by google. 1: Corn Flakes (exact match, duh) 2: Corn is Flakes (why would someone search for corn is flakes) (this was just an example of search terms that do not make sense) I purchased a domain the other day, and did not even think of doing a keyword search because I just like the domain, and it made sense, and for shits and giggles I decided to do a keyword search thinking that Zero match would come up...90 monthly searches come up; It is 90 more then I thought the domain would get simply because I am thinking that no body in their right mind would probably make that keyword search.... What do you domain experts think about this?
in my opinion exact match domains are not that important, you have to rank the site first and get some traffic, then you hit the jackpot
Well said by SEO experts, exact domain name does not brings a huge SEO value to your site these days. If you're prefer in selling something or creating a site/blog just for adsense, then aged domain could be the best way of. Aged domain names carry more weights compare to exact match domains.
I am not going to ponder on it too much. regardless of how helpful it is or not, I am sure if anyone had a chance to grab a KW match domain then they would, but I have found out that the exact match results were so low in traffic anyway that I have already left the idea, so I am not going to worry about it, and you are right, its not all about the domain, but it doesnt hurt to have something that can be easily remembered, the easier it is remember your domain, the less it will cost in Advertising, Marketing, SEO.... its all good...
