Former Us Congressman and UN delegate Mark Deli Siljander was indicted Wednesday as part of a terrorist fundraising ring that allegedly sent more than $130,000 to an al-Qaida and Taliban.

"Siljander takes an interest in conflict resolution, particularly in the Islamic world, and in recent years has tried to publicize the common ground between Christianity and Islam, particularly in the portrayal of Jesus in the Qur'an."

    Very sad.

It makes you wonder why some of the US Congress is against the war and who they are in bed with.

If you really want to look into that, do some research into Grover Norquist and what he has been up to for the past decade.

It's almost enough to turn me into one of those conspiracy cooks.

Oooooooooooooooh....yet another Republican Congressman (former) identified as a bum. This one is being charged with conspiring with terrorists.

Conspiring with terrorists? I guess he makes Foley (fooling around with young boys) and Larry Craig (hopefully not your neighbor in an airport bathroom stall) look mild.

Where do these guys come from and how do they get to be members of Congress?

This is the dark and seedy underside of democracy.

I'm not a huge fan of democracy, which I partially documented in Why this isn't Fort Democracy.

If it were not a republican (last served in 1987 - back when many here were in diapers!), earl wouldn't have mentioned the party. I have to admit, I was surprised. Hope the nut rots in jail, or better yet, Gitmo.

The interesting part is that Siljander took an interest in the Qur'an particularly the portrayal of Jesus in the Qur'an . Seems like he became an American taliban.

This makes me really wonder about Obama and what is going on inside his head.

I'm just saying that this Siljander incident should make Americans think about Obama a little more.

I think Obama is smart enough to see the effects of islam around his relatives outside the US. I really don't see this as an issue with him, my guess is he has a view more like Will's here. Ask Will about his wife and islam in her family.

    Kenya is blowing up.

    Exactly.

There are Christian churches destroyed and people killed because of this and I am betting Obama can see the real cause of the pain. I just don't see obama as an undercover islamist. I know very little of him and don't see him being a good president for our country, but don't think he is bent on islam.

I think it might have something to do with his candidacy for the Presidency of the United States? Maybe? :D

Hey, at least he doesn't have to take a lifestyle poly!
