Our client has been hacked a couple times over the past week. Everything is backed up constantly so we are able to recover fairly fast but it's really annoying and has to stop. We think there is a backdoor somewhere that they are getting in but can't find it. - Server has very strong password that is changed regularly. - Server is running both Wordpress and PHPBB as well as a couple of other scripts purchased, so the backdoor could be in any of them. By the way, wordpress was updated to the newest version after the first attack (even the theme was re-added) so more than likely it's not coming from Wordpress. - Hosted on godaddy. - There is no malware or anything on our computer that is able to read the passwords from the FTP. We are looking for someone with a vast knowledge on hacking. Someone who may have been a hacker in the past who can help us find areas that hackers could enter. I think the best option would be to give you the domain name and see if you can get in to the server. If this sounds like something you can do, please pm your price to me.
you can have virus and backdoors on your computer an not know it the hacking community has technology now that will make these 100% invisible by any virus scanner now. Also I would advise putting a firewall on the server and check you account access log to see where they are getting in from. From here I can help you!
I can assure you that my Mac doesn't have anything like that on it. It's very secure system and it's been triple checked.
is it on a shared hosting account or a dedicated server ? does it have cpanel ? or any other control panel ?
