    Hey folks,

I have just noticed a strange phenomena I havent seen before.

Firstly a bit of background: This is about my site www.hostedwith.us which has 45,000+ YBL, 30,000+ Google BL (in webmaster tools) - its not an old site, created in early december.

It consistantly gets good traffic, from google and otherwise, and when the TBPR update happened in January I got a PR0 - wasnt too surprised, as the site was only a month old, and by the fact that it had at that point nearly 50,000 backlinks I assumed there was a bit of a google slap for excessive link building as well. All the same, not that bothered.

Anyway, there is now 14 pages indexed,

    ALL HAVE A TOOLBAR PR0

    BUT

In Google WEBMASTER TOOLS, it reads that most have "low" pagerank, but one has "HIGH" pagerank, which obviously differs from what the toolbar is displaying!

Could this be evidence that google are manually adjusting toolbar pageranks?

Google sometimes amuse me too! I had 2 sites where internal pages shows Pr5 and 4 respectively in toolbar as well as online PR checkers, where as home page remain 0 since ages. about 15 pages of each site is having a link back to index page and most of them have PR 5 or 4.

This is a question remained unanswered to me :D

Toolbar PageRank only updates every three months or so, and shows data that is 3-6 months old. I believe this was confirmed by Matt Cutts.

Based on that, I'd be shocked if your site had anything BUT PR0. Anyhow, ignore it. Your site obviously has real PageRank, and that's being factored into the serps. The stuff in the toolbar is fun, but is really of no value to anyone.

Why do people still care about Pagerank, it's just a number. There are "many" other factors that are used in the Google search engine algorithm.

I think its better to look at SERPS as its "realtime" rather than 6 month old data.

If only people spent more time looking at their OWN traffic stats & building content rather than looking at other websites pagerank... By the way that wasn't directed at you MOG, nice site :)

if your inner pages has good PR but homepage has PR 0 I believe your homepage won't get listed for its main keyword phrases. and you will only gain search engine traffic to your inner pages.
