Lots of algo movement I think is what he is saying.

    I've noticed a little too.
Nothing out of the ordinary though.

Finally, Yahoo seems to be SE for Polish people, either. SERPs for Polish words are filled mostly by Polish pages, not like before - mostly English.

    yep...here's hoping.

Seems like google is adding another 5000 pages of my site today across various data-centres.

    keeps jumping from 4K - 9K pages

google results have a lot bigger movements today for our sites. Not just the 1 to 3 spaces but up or down 20 places.

I find it interesting that folks seem to track the movements constantly?

I tend to the view that I'd rather roughly optimise and add content, with the idea that the algortithm changes are constant and hence it would be a full time job keeping many pages spot on.

But then i don't make any money, so I guess I have something to learn ;)

To be honest, I haven't noticed any dramatic movement myself at all. Most dramatic changes people posted here seemed to be down to tighter duplicate ocntent filter settings. My SERPs have risen steadily pretty much like normal. Only fast increases can be attributed to the Coop.

For this reason, I wouldn't call it an earthquake. Last year's Florida seemed to have been a lot 'worse' & dramatic.

If we stick with the theme (I assume last year's was called Florida because of the hurricane's there) I would call this update 'California'. In this update, unwanted duplicates or excess 'content' got removed. That's exactly what happens everyday at the plastic surgeon's practise in California, #1 state for plastic surgery (I believe).

    Surprise - Surprise

    PageRank is Updating

Some SEOs will be Happy :)

Some SEOs will be Sad :(

A Few Will be Mad

You can NOW predict your upcoming PageRank by the Links Changes in the preceeding Links Update and SERPs Update

The PR is decided ahead of time but "programmatically" it probably takes TIME before it is "programmed" into the SERPs
