Working on another marketing campaign and as a first step, i thought i would take the time to write out all the possible ways to get traffic to your site, before i go through all of them and see which ones we can most effectively exploit. i think i put a pretty good list together, am i missing anything? How about widget traffic and audio marketing (podcast directories)? And of course... natural traffic and search engine traffic
Yeah... very nice list. I guess you can include joint ventures with affiliates although it's a little different. There are a few more things but when you are beginning a site they are probably not the best unless you have lots of money to test.... media buys on bigger banner networks (after testing on Google CN) PPV Purchasing already built sites or domains that have traffic But I like your list and thanks for posting it.
i was trying to get a list of all possible traffic methods to determine which ones i can use best, if any are missing, please continue to let me know, thanks for the responses
Nope, that's all I know of too. Maybe on the PPC method...there is also Yahoo Search Marketing and MSN Adcenter, besides Google AdWords.
I personally have the best luck with article creation & submission and social networking. PPC can be good too, just as long as you target the correct keywords.
Great post. It's a big help to every marketer especially to newbies out there. Thanks for compiling the list and organize in a way that is very specific.
