Every email getting stuck in the mail queue, cPanel, Exim

    I have a bit of a problem with exim i believe, i can receive messages fine, although when i try to send them they always, and i mean every single time, get stuck in the mail queue. I own the VPS and I have full root access. I have tried restarting exim and turning off spamassassin, but nothing seems to be working. I would really appreciate the help.

    Check the mail log, it maybe some configuration error or a simple error like the lack of a PTR/Reverse DNS record on your VPS' IP. The log should tell you exactly why the emails are not going through to the other end.

    Try to send email from mail queue "Deliver message" option and check whether you are receiving any error message or not. Also check exim_mainlog .

    Thanks for the tips guys, it ended up being a firewall issue from the data center, they blocked all the ports on my VPS node, because someone was abusing, but its all fixed now!!
