Everton as far as I can see are playing some great passing football with the added flair that we didn't have a few seasons ago when we finished 4th. We are coming together as a team which players can work together, gaining an understanding between them. The off the ball movement from our defence has created a water tight shield for Tim Howard, who is still world class, should our defence be broken. Our midfield is not only skillfull but also intelligent and play stylish attacking football with accurate passing to our front line. Our attack in the powerful Yakubu and pacey Johnson is any defences nightmare, and should bring in 40+ goals a season at the least between them. We have been winning games even without our most highly rated player, Areteta, so it shows that the days of the long ball passing to Ferguson or Rooney have finally gone and why should we play long ball football when we have Lescott in defence, who scores more goals than any other defender in the prem! Lots of talk about who will finish 4th, why not talk about who will finish third, its not as far fetched as it seems. The title race is between 2 or 3 sides, but the 3rd team in Chelsea (on 58 points +2 GD to Everton and 1 game in hand) can slip into 4th within 2 games, should results go that way. There are 30 points left of the season and after 28 games, only 12 points separate 4th from 1st. Another things is that the 3 teams below Chelsea have scored more goals than them, which shows how tight 3rd 4th and 5th places are. If Everton carry on winning games we can possible fight for 3rd place along with Chelsea and Liverpool. Aston Villa are showing good form, only 2 points behind Liverpool in 6th and 3 points above Blackburn and Man City in 7th and 8th, who are both only 2 points away from Portsmouth in 9th. Truth is any team from the top 9 have a realistic chance of finishing 4th and any team in the top 8 have a chance to finish 3rd.
