It's an amazing search engine. Combines all good search engines into a "dogpile" and search audio, video, etc
    dogpile.com
    Best I think

I have in the younger years. I don't really like it because it takes me longer to find a good source.

I liked dogpile back when they would show the first set of results from each search engine or directory. Some engines were fast (AltaVista) so you would get fresher results while others (Yahoo) were slower to list things but the quality was better. It made searching for things easier as you could scroll down the page and see a variety of search results, some worthless, some great.

Agree, I found it while searching an alternative to the every day more annonying Google Toolbar.

BTW, Dogpile's toolbar was one of the first integrating RSS feeds and dictionary lookup

I used dogpile back about two years ago. The last time i tried it I might as well have used google or yahoo.

It was previously a unique engine. Now it is typical of all the others.

I used to use it a long while ago was the one of the best as youd find stuff you wouldnt find on other searchengines but with the come of ppc listings in top results, cencorship and pr now it's crap.

Earlier when google wasnot so famous, I used to use altavista and dogpile...
It is a good one, but, somehow we have become prone to google even after its crap results for some searches.
