About two months ago, a project I worked on was a legitimate structured settlements site (as opposed to a spammy/made-for-Adsense one). All I have to say is that this topic must have really been hammered down on by search engines, because ranking for even long-tail structured settlement terms seems to be a near impossibility. To this day, it's not ranking whatsoever and doesn't even get one hit per day. All content was 100% written from scratch, internal links were all set up, it has a sitemap, is using an exact keyword .com domain name with content/SEO targeting that term in a non-spammy way, and all of the usual backlinking strategies have been practiced. Nothing blackhat was done, no links purchased, and the domain was never owned by anyone previously, nor was it ever used before. Would love to hear from anyone else who has tried this topic!
