    Hello All!

Have any of you tried makketing your websites, products and services on the video sites? It's good long term, free, steady traffic and promotion.

I personally have never done it, but i have a friend that bases his entire website of it. IF you have a service that has the ability to do that, then it is a great thing to use.

Basically it does work to answer your question.

I uploaded one video on youtube, it was just me driving my rc car doing slides with some music. It only had 160 views. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlBgriLdSP0

I am going to start uploading some hd videos. I think those will get more views.

I made a couple of very plain videos and linked them to websites. They didn't get many views but got me to the top of Google very quickly for long-tail keywords.

I haven't done it so far, but I think it's a very good way to spread the word about your site.

That's our goal with videos. Getting people to our site. Did you get more traffic from the higher google listings?

I've heard its a good source of getting traffic, but you need to have something that's catchy & current to attract any attention.

Its an awesome source of traffic!! I uploaded a couple of videos with my one month old site and traffic has been great. Its targeted traffic which spends time on my site. All I did was add a small note on the corner containing my sites URL.

Does anyone know how to add links to the video description? I tried using a tag but it wouldn't accept it.

I would think youtube would be a good marketing device depending on what you're advertising. It's very popular and I'm sure there are other streaming sites like Youtube that are popular too. I'm wondering if I could use Youtube to advertise my portfolio, if I do it right I might be able to hit something.

There are other sites that would be worth considering for marketing purposes. I've just uploaded a one-page site (a temporary solution) on the topic. It doesn't have a list of sites, but it contains a short list of extremely useful info, lists, comparisons and reviews found elsewhere. The URL: http://www.unlimitedvideo.info/.
