Ever stayed at a Japanese capsule hotel?

    I did so in Tokyo last month, partly because it's a cheap alternative to a hotel, and partly for the unique experience.

    Once. It was nice, but then again I'm a freak. I was worried about suffocating until I turned on the air conditioning, heh.

    Hey that looks really cool!

    Was it really very cheap? I did not see any mention of price?

    Something like that with communal kitchens/bathrooms with private/locked cold food storage for fresh/frozen stuff would really be cool for dorms/low income workers?

    around $40/night, more or less.
    much cheaper than a standard hotel in Tokyo
