Ever have a slump?

So, we are having a little slump, okay, maybe not little, but it seems that all of a sudden our conversions have tailed off the last couple of days. Maybe a slow period, maybe changes from over the weekend? Anyone ever have this problem and how did you turn it around?

The only thing we have done out of the ordinary is integrate Sales Force with Adwords. Anyone have any experience with this negative or positive?

plenty of sale through last Friday but then it's like someone told all the clickers to stop buying. Record clickthroughs since then but no sales.

I think some niches are hit hard because it's simply summertime. Think about it, people are on vacation now or outside with their kids (because they're on their summer break). People aren't at work surfing for something to buy, nor are there stay at home parents sitting around with nothing to do because their kids are in school.

Unless your niche is totally unrelated to those types of people, I think there is a major slowdown going on right now. My usual niche of $100-$200 day profit has dwindled down to NOTHING. Zero. And it's not because of increased competition or less demand for my product, it's just not a major need right now during the summer (it's a nice to have item).

Totally sucks though because I am a newb and am having a hard time trying to promote other products!

i'm going through a very very similar situation myself.

but what do u guys do? do you just stop your PPC campaign and wait until summer passes?

if so, how would this affect your QualityScore with G or overall performance when you try to start it back up after summer passes

slumps just happen and are very common.

We call it seasonality, where some industries just don't perform one part of the year.

I have never met a client that just stops marketing because ROI is slightly less than normal, you basically just ride out the bad times

That is what I figured also. The same thing happened last year around this time but I am trying to figure out ways to get those conversions still coming in.

The software industry is probably hit a little less than others though.
